As part of this expansion, RivetKing introduces the RK-986 and RK-987N Pneudraulic Remote Intensified Installation Tools. Specifically designed for applications requiring higher installation forces, these systems separate the hydraulic power unit from the handheld installation assembly. This remote intensified design delivers the force required to install larger fasteners while reducing the weight carried by the operator, helping minimize fatigue and improve ergonomics and control. The hydraulic power unit is housed in a durable, wheeled enclosure, allowing it to be easily moved around the work area as needed. The remotely intensified hydraulic system combines high installation force with a lighter handheld assembly and greater mobility on the production floor.
As manufacturers increasingly work with composites, high-strength alloys, and other materials where traditional welding may not be practical, demand for heavy-duty fastening solutions continues to grow.
The RK-986 Pneudraulic Remote Intensified Installation Tool is designed for demanding, high-volume production environments and installs 3/16″ through 1/2″ blind rivets and LockBolts. The RK-987N follows the same remote intensified design as the RK-986 but is engineered specifically for rivet nut installation. It delivers the high installation force needed for rivet nuts up to 3/4″ (M20) while maintaining an ergonomic, operator-friendly design. Both tools feature adjustable stroke and pressure settings, providing greater control over the installation process and helping ensure consistent, reliable performance.
