The DIN Rail mounted control box communicates with FreeSet-3 tools via WIFI to link the Pass, Fail and Count results to an external PLC. By establishing communication between PLC and FreeSet-3 tools using this device, the PLC may enable the tool, either manually, via barcode, or using ladder logic with sensors attached to jigs or light curtains. One the riveting job has been enabled from the PLC, 24V signal is passed to this RK-7MINI controller, which passes the enable to the riveting tool thru 2.4ghz WIFI. With each installed rivet, Freeset determines PASS or FAIL using its force and stroke sensor. The results are sent back to the RK-7MINI, which relays the information back to the PLC via 24V so that count and results inform the logic of the PLC.
